I love philanthropy, I love it when people give money away, I love reporting and talking about people who give away money. Some of my favorite billionaires include Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and George Soros, these millionaires combined are prepared to give away over $100 billion away. It doesn't stop there, the Giving Pledge which was first earmarked by Bill & Melinda Gates which involves giving away 50% of their wealth has signed up some wealthy billionaires such as Jeff Skoll and Mark Zuckerberg, if all the billionaires in the world sign up to these the combined giving power would rise to $500 billion, remarkable.

Best People Who Give Away Money

Of all the billionaires the most remarkable in my opinion is Warren Buffett; from his humble beginnings as an accountant the value investor has made the most money on the stock market compared to any other trader. Buffett's philosophy of choosing value stocks and being patient has yielded him more returns compared to all the day traders put together, this goes to show how important patience is and how it goes hand in hand with wisdom. 

Warren Buffett has an estimated net worth of over $50 billion of which he has pledged to give away 98% of his wealth, most of his money will be going to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Buffett believes in catalyst philanthropy and has planned to give away most of his money within 15 years of his death, this is so that the money can make the highest impact rather than sitting in the bank.

Warren Buffett has set the standard for modern day philanthropy, he has helped out many organizations and individuals during his lifetime and will help more after he dies, Warren is definitely the number one!
