Bill Gates started giving money to organisations which he supports; these organisations included University computer science departments, high schools, libraries and local charities in Seattle. 

More recently Bill Gates has contributed more than $10 Billion on vaccines in third world countries to overcome Malaria and Meningitis. For US citizens the most important project Bill Gates has taken part in is education and teacher training, most notably Post Secondary Education scholarship grants. Bill Gates along with Warren Buffet founded the Giving Pledge where Billionaires and Millionaires giving money pledge to give away half of their wealth to help people in need. Rich people giving away money are all around us and all we need to do is find them and ask them for money as long as we have a legitimate need. Warren Buffett is one of my favourite rich people who give away money. Warren Buffett has an estimates net worth of $46 Billion and has donated $17.25 Billion to help people all over the world. In 2006 Warren Buffett decided to pledge more than $30 Billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation over the next 20 years. The most notable action by Warren Buffett was to encourage 92 wealthy rich people to sign up to the Giving Pledge where billionaires and millionaires pledge to give away more than half of their entire wealth to help people in need all over the world. 

Warren Buffett became one of the wealthiest men in the world by investing in the stock market. Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway company has increased by an average of 20% over the last 30 years which is just incredible. Warren Buffett does not have his own charitable foundation as he has pledged to give his money to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. George Soros is another one of the great rich people giving away money. George Soros made his money speculating in the stock market and by becoming an expert at hedging currencies. Soros’s most notable act was when he betted against sterling and forced the United Kingdom out of the Exchange Rate Mechanism and became incredible rich in the process. George Soros loves to give money away; he is another one of my favourite billionaire and millionaires giving away money. 

George Soros has donated over $8.5 Billion and has an amazing net worth of $19 Billion. George Soros has given his money to a wide variety of causes included Gypsies in Eastern Europe, clinics in California as well as scientific research in Russia. Another underrated rich people who give away money is Gordon Moore. Moore has donated almost $5 Billion and has an estimated net worth of $5.8 Billion. Gordon Moore is the cofounder of Intel the chip maker and has pledged to give $5 Billion Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation back in 2000. The Moore’s are exceptional people and concentrate their giving on science, environmental conservation, as well as nursing education. Slim Helu believes that it’s more effective to donate money with an emphasis on creating jobs. Consequently Carlos has focused on giving his money to programs which are digital health and education. 

Carlos has also given his money to Clinton Initiative Project and has paid for over 50,000 cataract operations in Peru.
