I Need Unsecured Credit Cards for Really Bad Credit - Please HELP, I'm DESPERATE

I Need Unsecured Credit Cards for Really Bad Credit

Warren is a 22-year-old who is in full-time employment. He emailed me with the following question...

I need unsecured credit cards for really bad credit. I recently checked my credit report and my Fico score is below 600 which is poor credit.

I want to borrow money in the future and I'm fed up with resorting to payday loans which charge high interest. I also desperately wanted to rebuild my credit for the future because I plan on settling down soon and hopefully one day owning my own home.

I need to know the following...

Q1: Can I apply for a bad credit credit card with a Fico score less than 600?

Q2: What are the best credit cards for people with really bad credit?

Q3: How many bad credit credit cards should I apply for at any one time?

Q4: What can I do to quickly improve my Fico credit score from Poort to Good?

Q5: Which bad credit credit card should I apply for given my poor credit status?

Look forward to hearing from you...

My Response

Hello, Warren and thanks for emailing The Millionaires Giving Money Blog.

As a 22-year-old guy, you are asking all the right questions to get the right credit card and to improve your credit.

In this post, I will answer your five questions and make recommendations for the best credit cards for people with really bad credit.

I will also offer 10 tips to improve your credit score as well as 10 tips to improve your personal finances.

I really hope you put all these tips into action. I was in a very similar situation and I was able to go from poor credit to excellent credit!

Your Questions Answered...

Q1: Can I apply for a bad credit credit card with a Fico score less than 600?

You can apply for bad credit credit cards with a Fico Score less than 600. There are credit cards for people with Fico scores less than 550 and for people without any credit history.

Unfortunately, you will get a relatively high-interest rate and a low credit limit. You will not get the best deals like zero percent credit cards as these are reserved for people with excellent credit, something you should aspire to.

Q2: What are the best credit cards for people with really bad credit?

The best credit cards for people with really bad credits are offered by Credit One Bank, Surge, Fingerhut, USAA, and Discover. I will be providing a full list of credit cards for people with really bad credit under 600.

Q3: How many bad credit credit cards should I apply for at any one time?

You should do your research and find credit cards you are most likely to be accepted for. One you find these credit cards you should only apply for one every 6 months.

The reason for this is you do not want to come off as desperate for credit as every time you apply a hard check is added to your credit file and this reduces your Fico Credit Score.

Q4: What can I do to quickly improve my Fico credit score from Poort to Good?

You are asking the right question here. Below I will be offering 10 tips to quickly improve your credit score. I used these tips to take my credit score from poor to excellent in 9 months.

Q5: Which bad credit credit card should I apply for given my poor credit status?

Given your circumstances, I would recommend the USAA Classic Platinum. This card is unsecured so you don't have to put up a deposit. There is a $35 annual fee and APR of 18.40% to 24.40%.

This card is great for rebuilding credit and there is no foreign transaction fee when you travel overseas.

Unsecured Credit Cards for Really Bad Credit

Here is a list of 10 unsecured credit cards for people with really bad credit.

You should apply for one every 6 months. The USAA Classic Platinum Visa has a $35 annual charge and is targeted towards people with really bad credit. This is the credit card you should apply for now.

If you're approved that's great.

If you are declined wait another 6 months before you apply again and consider applying for a secured credit card which is easier to be approved for and will help you build your credit.

You will need a $200 dollar deposit but this will be a great way to improve your credit.

I Need a Personal Loan But I Have Really Bad Credit

A few days ago I received an email from Emma, the subject of the email was I need a personal loan but I have really bad credit.

Emma is a 23-year-old single mother with 3 children and she has allowed us to share her email...

Reader Email

I'm working full time at the moment but can barely make ends meet. Recently, my heating system broke down and the plumber said it could cost as much as 1000 dollars to make repairs.

I have no emergency fund and I need a personal loan but have really bad credit! I noticed you help people with advice so I wanted to ask the following questions...

Q1: Can you get a loan with bad credit?

Q2: How can I get approved for a loan?

Q3: How can I borrow money with bad credit?

Q4: How do I get a payday loan with bad credit?

Q5: Can you take out a loan with no credit history?

Q6: What is a loan broker?

I really need direction right now. I always seem to get a little ahead and then all my savings are wasted because something breaks down! please help I need money desperately!

My Reply to Emma

I'm sorry to hear about your problems, rest assured there are solutions.

It must be very tough raising 3 kids while working full-time so I take my hat off to you.

In this post, I will be answering the questions above and I will offer 10 ways to get loans for bad credit.

I will also be advising you on how to avoid getting into debt with 10 tips on personal finance as well as 10 tips for improving and repairing your credit.

Reader Questions:

Question 1: Can you get a loan with bad credit?

You can get a loan with bad credit. Unfortunately, you will have to pay more in interest.

You can get loans for bad credit with direct lenders and loans for bad credit with no guarantor. You do have a lot of options with bad credit but you will have to pay more.

Question 2: How can I get approved for a loan?

To get approved for a loan you must be in employment for at least 6 months. You must be over the age of 18 and be a U.S. Citizen. You must make at least 1000 dollars per month after taxation to be eligible for a decent loan with reasonable interest.

Question 3: How can I borrow money with bad credit?

The best way to borrow money with bad credit is via a broker company like Better Loans Mutual. You can get a loan for bad credit with no guarantor.

The application process takes about 3 minutes and you get a decision within 12 hours. If everything checks out you could get the money in your bank account within 24 hours.

Better Loans Mutual offer installment loans so you can choose how long you need to repay the loan, unlike payday loans. These loans are cheaper than payday loans. You can submit an application by clicking the image below.

Question 4: How do I get a payday loan with bad credit?

You can get a payday loan with bad credit. You can find plenty of payday lenders by just doing a search for it using your location.

I would not recommend a payday loan because they are expensive and want payments quickly. Some payday loans want you do settle the loan on payday or within 3 months.

These types of loans can cost a lot, and if you fail it pay it on time you will incur some heavy fines. It is better to use a company like Better Loans Mutual above.

Question 5: Can you take out a loan with no credit history?

It is hard to get unsecured loans with bad credit. It is impossible to get an unsecured loan with no credit.

The only exception is when you take out a car title loan or when you use a security as collateral. If you fail to make payments on time your security will be taken to pay off the loan.

Question 6: What is a loan broker?

A loan broker is a company which has a panel of brokers. They take your details and pass them over to the panel of lenders and then get the best deal for you. This is exactly what Better Loans Mutual above does.

Reader Questions:

Question 1: I Need a loan today but have bad credit, what are my options?

If you need a loan today you could take out a payday loan or an installment loan. These loans are high-interest so it will be expensive.

I think it would be better to wait 24 hours so you can get a better loan at a lower cost. There are plenty of options for bad credit loans.

Question 2: I Need a low-interest loan with bad credit, where can I get this?

Unfortunately, if you have bad credit you will be charged high-interest. You can overcome this problem by getting a secured loan or having your loan cosigned.

This two options will reduce your interest rate charged.

Question 3: My mom has good credit, is there any way she can help?

Your mom could cosign your loan which means you will be charged less interest because the risk is reduced.

If you fail to make your payments your mom will have to step in so be careful and make sure you can afford the loan.

Where Can I Get 1000 Dollar Loan With Bad Credit? - I am Desperate Need Help

Where can I Get a 1000 Dollar Loan With Bad Credit?

21-year-old Steve emailed me with the following question...

Reader Question

I'm after a $1000 personal loan. Where can I get a 1000 dollar loan with bad credit? I recently checked my Experian credit score and had poor credit. I doubt I'll be able to get a loan from the banks because of my bad credit and was looking for alternative ways to borrow 1000 dollars quickly.

Is there any way I can get a 1000 dollar loan guaranteed? Also is there any way to get 1000 dollar loan with low interest?

My Answer

Hi, Steve and thanks for asking the question.

With bad credit, you will be able to get a 1000 dollar loan however the interest will be very high.

In this post, I will be sharing 10 ways you can get 1000 dollar loan with bad credit.

Before I do this I wanted to answer the questions you asked in your email and offer some advice on repairing your credit score quickly.

Reader Questions

Q1: Where Can I Get a Loan With Bad Credit?

There are plenty of ways to get a loan with bad credit. You will need to be employed and over the age of 18. You will need to be employed for over 6 months to be seriously considered for a loan and you must be a US Citizen.

Normally to be considered for a bad credit loan you must earn at least 1000 dollars a month after tax. One of the best places to get a 1000 dollar loan is Better Loans Mutual. You can submit your details in 3 minutes and get an answer in 24 hours and have the money in your account the next day. If you want to apply for this click the image below.

Q2: Is There a Way I Can Get a Loan Guaranteed?

To get a loan guaranteed regardless of your credit score you will need a cosigner to sign the loan. When a cosigner signs they are legally bound to pay off the loan if you default on the loan payments.

The cosigner must have a good credit in order to sign the loan.

Q3: Is There a Way to Get a 1000 Dollar Loan with Low-Interest?

If you want to get a 1000 dollar loan with low-interest you will either need a cosigner or you will have to put a security against the loan.

Both of these options will reduce the interest but it will still be pretty high. It's better to work on your credit score to get into the good credit bracket so you can apply for loans with lower interest.

Where Can I Get 1000 Dollar Loan with Bad Credit?

One: Direct Deposit 1000 Dollars from Credit Card

Some credit cards offer direct deposit to your bank account.

Call up all your credit card companies and ask them if they can deposit 1000 dollars in your bank account. Also, ask if there are any promotions at the moment.

I remember I was able to get 2000 dollars for zero percent interest with a 2% transfer charge over 12 months. This means I only paid $40 for the direct deposit so long as I paid the direct deposit within 12 months.

Two: Spend 1000 Dollars on Your Credit Card

If you need the 1000 dollar loan to make a purchase you can use your credit card as an option.

Again, call your credit card companies up and ask them if they have any special deals on purchases. Explain that you want to spend some money on your credit card and you want the best deal possible.

I did this and was able to get zero percent interest for 6 months on credit purchases.

Three: Apply for a Bad Credit Loan for 1000 Dollars

The only Bad Credit Loan broker I recommend is Better Loans Mutual as mentioned above.

Better Loans Mutual have a panel of over 100 lenders who will compete to give you the best deal. You can borrow between 1000 and 5000 dollars and it only takes 5 minutes the apply.

You must be over 18 and employed with at least 1000 dollars earned per month after tax. You also need to be a US Citizen. You can apply by clicking the image below.

Four: Secured Installment Loan for 1000 Dollars

Installment loans allow you more time to pay off your loan. They are becoming very popular and people with bad credit are welcome.

You can apply for a 1000 dollar installment loan through Better Loans Mutual above.

Five: Payday Loans for 1000 Dollars

I don't want to recommend Payday loans because they have very high interest rates and not all of them offer 1000 dollar loans.

If you are running out of options then this is something to consider. These loans need to be paid back on payday or within 3 months and have interest over 400% so it's very expensive.

Six: Cash Advance from Credit Card

Another way to use a credit card to get a loan is to use the cash advance facility they offer.

This is a very expensive option. One trick you can use is to ask for a zero percent cash advance by calling your credit card company and making a speculative request.

Many borrowers have used this strategy with success.

Seven: Get a Better Mortgage Deal

If you're on a high-interest mortgage you should consider switching and getting a better deal.

If you can shave 1 percent off your mortgage you could be saving hundreds ever month. If you have equity in your property when your switch you could borrow an extra 1000 dollars on your mortgage and pay less than what you were initially paying.

Eight: Apply for a Cosigner Loan for 1000 Dollars

If you know someone who has good credit you could ask them to become a cosigner on a loan. This would increase your chances of getting a loan with bad credit.

Make sure you can afford the loan otherwise the cosigner will have to pay if you default on the monthly payments.

Nine: Get a Secured Car Title Loan

You can use your car as collateral to get a secured car title loan. With a car title loan, your credit will not affect the decision.

Make sure you shop around for a good rate as you are putting up security for the loan.

Ten: Borrow From Friends and Family

The best way to borrow is by asking your friends and family.

If they trust you they will lend you the money without charging interest. You could also get away with paying a small percentage.

To formalize the deal you could use a loan contract template and put up security and pay a small percentage of interest. You should also create a payment schedule and stick to it.

Improve Your Credit Score for Cheaper Loans

If you don't need the 1000 dollar loan immediately you should use your time to fix your credit score. Here are 10 quick ways to go from Poor Credit to Good Credit. I personally used these tips to increase my Experian Credit Score from poor to excellent.

Tip 1: Check if all the information is current on your credit file

Tip 2: Register to Vote and have the same permanent address for all credit cards and banks

Tip 3: Set up an automatic payment for all credit cards so you never miss a payment

Tip 4: Call every credit card company and ask for an increase in credit

Tip 5: Never spend more than 30% of your credit limit

Tip 6: Pay 10% more of your minimum payment every month

Tip 7: Pay a week before the payment is due

Tip 8: Dispute any old defaults and ask to have them removed

Tip 9: Remove all financial associations with people with bad credit

Tip 10: Don't apply for credit all the time

Where Can I Get a Loan With Bad Credit?

There are plenty of options to get a loan when you have bad credit.

If you do take out a 1000 dollar bad credit loan you will have to pay high-interest.

To lower the interest consider taking out a secured loan or a cosigner loan.

To get the lowest interest rate loans you must improve and repair your credit score over the long-run.
