I'm going to share my strategy of how I maximise the cashback reward from my Discover It Cashback Credit Card Match.

If you haven't already got this card I suggest you apply for it especially if you like the idea of getting cashback every time you spend.

The minimum FICO score you will need is 648, however I would suggest you play it safe and only apply when you have a credit score of 680 to 720. If you're credit score is lower than 648 don't apply for this credit card because you will get rejected. A better approach would be to improve your credit card and then apply for it.

The way to maximise the cashback reward on the Discover It Cashback Credit Card Match is to put all your expenses on the credit card. You should also put all family expenses and extended family expenses on the cashback reward credit card.

What I did was spend the majority of my money on the retailers which offer 5% cashback so I could earn the maximum on offer every quarter. Once I hit the maximum it would revert to 1% cashback and you can spend anywhere.

You should also get additional cardholders for the DIscover It Credit Card so you can take advantage of the Cashback Rewards every time you spend. Your aim is to earn as much as possible in the first your so Discover will match the reward at the end of the 1 year period.

Suppose you earn cashback of $2000 dollars within a year, and this is entirely possible, especially if you can put your extended family purchases on the credit card (make sure they pay in advance). Discover It Cashback Credit Card will match the $2000 and you will have $4000 cashback in 1 year.
